EBE was founded in 1950. To begin with EBE specialised in physical measuring instruments but soon moved on to rotary switches. They remain, even today a major focal point. Since 1965 our company manufactures high quality solenoids and owns numerous patents. In 1997 we extended our product range to include switches by buying out a major competitor. Since 1999, EBE owns the sector switches and control units once belonging to SEL, the largest single supplier at that time. Sasse Elektronik and Magenta followed in the years 2000 and 2001 and have since been fully intregrated into the EBE group.

 EBE’s conventional range of switches include multi-level rotary switches, code switches and key operated switches. We also offer customised solutions stamped by supreme precision, reliability and competent implementation.
Our rotary switches are used in the following applications:

- mobile homes
Our standard solenoids are used in safety and locking systems, locking devices for doors and control units of heating and air-conditioning systems. Our solenoids are easy to use and extremely reliable.

 Ergonomical input of data using EBE rotary switches and handwheels with EBE rotary input devices enables one handed operation of equipment.
These modern input devices have a longer life span than potentiometers. They have fully electronic impetus generation via Hall sensors or opto-electronically as well as many other advantages.
