This new potentiometer holds up to 27 detents, evenly distributed along the mechanical travel. It does not require any external elements to set the detents.
The end consumer will experience a feeling of more precision over the position of the potentiometer; together with all the advantages of a potentiometer with no detents (i.e., long life).
Our new design is based on several modifications of the mechanical design, allowing for a product with an enhanced quality.

- Mechanical life: 10.000 cycles, it is our standard life version. A higher number can be considered on request.

- Available in models CA14/MCA14 and CE14/MCE14, other references are under study.
- Accessories: As for the potentiometers with no detents.
- Special tapers: Detents can be combined with accurate control zones, sections with a different slope, interruptions of the electric value, specific linearity, etc.
- Wiper torque: 0,5Ncm...3,5Ncm.
Applications
Potentiometers with detents are appropriate for the most common precision applications. It is specially suitable in those cases where an accurate position control is needed, as well as a feeling of control during the rotation movement. For example:
- Temperature control (air conditioning, heating appliances.)
- Power control (small appliances, white line goods, lighting.)
- Position control, (automotive)
- Any application in which the end consumer demands a stronger precision "feeling".
- It can also be used as an alternative to a switch.
