Products with special tapers have an uncommon variation of the Vout/Vin ratio between the initial and the final points of the mechanical travel.

The standard tapers are the linear (A), log (B) and antilog (C); special tapers can have sections with different slopes.

These potentiometers are available on the 9 and 14mm. series and are being studied for the 6mm.

In order to achieve very accurate values in certain sections of the tapers, our potentiometers can be adjusted with laser.

If the taper has sections with constant value, these can be combined with detents. This is further explained at the "Potentiometer with Detents" section.

It is possible to check linearity in each section of a taper.
Applications
Special tapers can be found in applications that require special resistive values in specific points:
